greg & verena, nice flower to wake up to.  i remember these flowers popping up through the snow when i worked in switzerland.  about as hardy as flower as you will find and the earliest sign that spring is on the way.  does seem a wee bit early for where your at.  our last three sets of guests have all been from switzerland.

Hi Roger,

Thanks - these showed up at least a month earlier than last year. They've been snowed on a couple of times already, but now it's in the 50's! with more snow on the way - verry strange.

greg, have a suggestion for you on this one,  try a tighter crop around the flower, the reason i suggest this would be because have just noticed the excellent form of the flower.  will have a go as am sure you will not mind me having a play with your image.  did not turn out quite as i envisioned but still think is worth having a play with.

Thanks Roger,

Looks good !- I'm still not sure where the "glow" around the white came from. Just happened when I blurred the background. Thanks for your input.
