This photograph is similar to Marcel Duchamp's work, especially his image of 'Bride/Mariee;' both images show a visual connection between sharp and soft shadows. There is a shape of a heart near the center; it reminds me of a portal inviting the viewer into a world of intrigue. I like the burst of light emerging from the center -- not only does it give a focal point, but it invites various interpretations such as a flower, a sun, a fire. If I were to change anything, it would be to lessen the dark area at the bottom, though I realize this is a subjective interpretation.  Very well composed!
