great sense of depth.  i know you probably didn't sharpen, but it looks too sharp somehow.  it makes the colour look funny, but i don't think the colour is funny.  best, j

Your comment caused me to take a re-look.  It was a bright sunny day outside of the magic photo hours. The sun is hitting certain highly reflective grains of sand giving it a 'sharpened' perspective. I did reduce the saturation just a tad on a revision. I uploaded it to replace this but you may have to clear your cache to see it right away.

P.S.:  sometimes images from those Contax G lenses I was telling you about look sharpened to me.  I have to say, I usually like it.  j
