Superb foreground textures  and a perfectly timed and exposed image to show the movement of the waves,. This was no easy shot, shooting into the sun and must have taken time and patience to wait for the right moment for the cloud to diffuse the light sufficiently. The distant figure that is silhouetted against the light looks like it could be a fisherman and makes for a great distant focal point.

Sincere Compliments

Alf:

Thank you for your insightful comment and beneficial analysis. Yes, you are completely right about difficulty shooting such sort of landscape with large burden of dynamism. Actually i used multiple shots ( twelve ) to bring all of the desired elements into one scene, without that it was impossible. In this time consuming processus the person appeared by chance as a bonus for me! Thank you again.

My best regards,

Hamid.

Good Morning Hamid, To me this is two images in one, and both have strong impact. The foreground rock and water have great texture and detail. The water has that silky smoothing effect and together they work nicely. The other image I refer to is the person standing on the cliff engulfed by the sky/sun leaves me with an somewhat religious feel to it. Either way it's beautiful work. Take care.

Best Wishes,

Holger

Fabulous shot.

maybe you know already  but when you close down your lens to f22 you get the effect of digital diffraction which softens the image just a bit. On a recent posting of a tree trunk that was cut down I experimented with a Tamron 90mm lens using f22 and then f13 and the difference in sharpness is easy to see. My testing 'lab' is not perfect but i made sure that I made the two shots identical except for the change in aperture/Shutter Speed.

For what it is worth, this seems pretty sharp.

All the very best,

I almost did not see the person in the distance!

Thank you Tony for your insightful comment. In this particular scene with a harsh light, i needed a low shutter speed near 1/5 sec or so to get best water splashes in near mid ground, and although i had a ND grad, i eventually forced to use the most tight aperture. The diffraction was an issue, but in a large scale of this picture, its noticeable in lesser extent. Print was also acceptable. Your kind comment and observations are much appreciated.

My best regards,

Hamid.
