Early one morning, I came upon this Heron sitting in a stand of

Melaleucas on the edge of the Everglades Just as I approached, he took

flight. I never did much with this image, as it looked so busy and

cluttered. I decided to try the Pixel Bender filter/Oilpaint to try to

smooth things out. I believe that it worked well, in that, without the

rough bark of the Melaleucas showing, the emphasis is placed back on

the Heron.
