Not Here 93 Posted January 14, 2012 Dimitris... While I think the b/w version has more impact, this is still an insightful capture. I'm not making any judgements but I couldn't help but notice the two satellite dishes and find them incongruous to the rest of the scene. Perhaps they are left over from more prosperous times, like the ornate railing. Regardless, well seen and captured... Mike Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted January 14, 2012 I wonder if the Satellite Dishes are from another apartment (re Balcony ) or perhaps, the 'male' in the household definitely can't go without his 'MTV' (lol).Beautiful shot of everyday life; good use of natural light; excellent editing of shadow areas; the facade of the building is very old and most interesting, adding so much 'character' to this composition. The metal balcony is beautiful, I'm sure in 'it's day' this was quite an attractive building.Nice work!Warmest regards, Gail Link to comment
dgv 1 Posted January 17, 2012 Michael thank you very much for your comment. I am paticularly pleased that your 'eagle eye' did not miss the satelite dishes..they certainly give an added twist to the story. The house stood empty for quite a few years, there are similar houses in that area. I believe the satelite dishes are a fairly recent addition. Museeb thank you for your visit. Gail thank you for your visit and comment. The reply to Michael's comment is a reply to you too. Kind regards, Dimitris. Link to comment
