Veliki pozdrav, prijatelju!

Very interesting and artistic. The meaning is not completely clear to me, but I feel a strong tension in the composition. My first impression is "big brother is watching you". The boy is forced to go to church. He is balancing between obedience and following his own way. Striking are the shadows of the boy and the woman. The man in front must be a kind of God, he doesn't have a shadow, like the church. They are not existing in reality anymore. ( This comment accounts for two, I suppose?, ha, ha)

Marco, I count your one comment as three mine all right, the person with turned back on us isn't God, but he plays a God to a child, it's the teacher or if you want a priest, the church represents all institutions and school among them, the child is willing to play his way! And what the nun represents? Nothing much, just an obedient (unlike the kid)  person, serving not God, but the church, IE the institutions! That would be all!

Jamie, the simpler the better, a? Maybe, maybe so!

The level of complexity of your images varies both in meaning and design. An interesting question for the viewer is which precedes the other. I mean is it the subconscious that guides the artist's work or is it the other way around, each element being put into place purposefully with a message to convey?

In the first case it is primarily the creator that is open to analysis, in the other, both the artist and the viewer alike. But then this is also all about photography and it is is delightful to see someone play with so many concepts and ideas at the same time.

I study this image, follow the guiding lines to the Church and contemplate the role of the participants. No definite conclusion comes to mind as yet.

Hi Pierre,

I appreciate your sharing the techniques employed  in this very well composed set of images.

For me, the image begins with the man on the left, as if were looking into the past. He reflects upon his past as a boy going to school and his teacher (the woman).

Excellent work, whatever your intended story is about.

Best Regards,  Uncle Mike

Hello Pierre,

I love the message.  The cracks originating from the church are crucial for me.  It is clear that teaching is at a cross road now ...

It is the type of image that one could look at for a long to decipher the message. Perhaps as in abstracts, it will be fascinating to get two or three  interpretations and i am pretty sure there will be a high degree of variance. Good work. Belongs in a gallery!

I do know that I like the composition Pierre, and I have not yet decided what my interpretation is. There are a few going round in my head, and actually that is a good thing, an image that is both inspiring and thought provoking also!!

Excellent work as always Pierre,

Kindest regards, Gail
