I was attracted by the colorful contrast shown here. A nice scene.

There is a lack of sharpness due to the use of the short 18mm  focal lens at F/7.

I would have shot this wide open, as the DOF would still be adequate .

wide 18mm lens were because I was on the jetty and these guys were only few meters in front of me (just a beginning of regatta and since this is a regatta of traditional boats there are some other rules implied) and I wanted to take the action of the start.

As for F7, I must confess that (at the time) my camera was fresh new and I was not so familiar with all this buttons - so I kept on AUTO, picture was more important than technicallities.
