The Hands Series...N1

Hands and fingers can express and hints of  many things, they are  showing  intents, menacing, aiming at  something  etc. Being and photographing in the market and around it, the hands and fingers came alive!

Pnina, I love this one. I don't really know why, but I think the reflection over the mannequin's eyes/face make this photo much more interesting. There are lots of incongruous elements to look at here....the detachable limbs, the pink roses, the string lights, and of course, the denim-clad arm and hand. Congratulations on seeing this photo that many would've passed right by.

Amy, you have well " read" that frame. What I wanted to express, is to take the scene to the context of the real human life.  I would define it  as the''Beauty and the( hand of a) Beast"...!

Menacing is the right description for this little shocker. The wide-eyed young lady with her head literally in the clouds is completely unaware of the hand coming from behind to grab her. I hope that's what you were getting at with this picture and I'm not just projecting my own paranoia onto an innocent picture :-))

This was exactly! my intention,only hinting about it, and your impression is just to the point! Bending it to life , as so many times we see and read about it in real.. Thanks.!

Pnina, This is an interesting and fruitful idea for a series. Of the three you have presented us with so far this one is my favourite as it seems imbued with the greatest sense of mystery. There are many scenarios and possible interpretations to explore.

Thanks for all your commments! I like this one very much too, as you are right  and it can be interpreted in different ways, even though I have had  a certain one especially....

Pnina, the mannequin with it's very large eyes, the dress somewhat askew, and the string of lights draped over it gives it a certain eerie feeling. The disembodied hand appearing to reach out heightens that quality.
