Pierre Dumas 261 Posted January 8, 2012 This is certainly not a masterpiece in any regard, but I still likethe mood of the thirties, forties or fifties (depends on the country)and, yes I made that mood on purpose for sometimes it looks to me thatthe value of a good souvenir photograph is undeniable!Thank you foryour attention dear colleagues!PDE Link to comment
tamaramar 0 Posted January 8, 2012 I like the frame, Pierre! It takes me back to my mom's and dad's pictures. We even had that cutting instrument. I am going home January 15th and going to go through mom's album....Thank you. Best regards, Tamara Link to comment

JamieK 1 Posted January 8, 2012 really lovely. is it old? (not sure when you might have been using Agfachrome) it seems to be from your description, but there is something quite modern about the girl. best, jamie Link to comment

Link to comment

mike_palermiti 3 Posted January 8, 2012 My good friend Pierre,I adore film imagery.I find the "older" look to be nostalgic, indeed. An outstanding example of the value of a photograph of any age, with any camera/lens .Grand memoriesAll the best in 2012, Uncle Mike Link to comment
benhuybrechts 0 Posted January 8, 2012 Hello Pierre,Wow this is nostalgy for me, not only because of the old look and feel ( I was born in the sixties), but you took this with an Canon AE-1 this was my first camera, which I sold while living in Japan. Something I still regret. It might not be a masterpiece but it is not a bad picture at all. There is the soft light in the shadow, which gives good exposure and light. The only thing which disturbs me are the orange areas on the fingers. Something which is easy to correct with your ps skills.Ben Link to comment

Emmanuel Enyinwa 0 Posted January 9, 2012 The frame is certainly a nice touch. But, it is the toning and aging achieved through the grain that gives the image its sense of authenticity. Link to comment
