overdiep 0 Posted January 7, 2012 Bettie, In this photo I see two photos. The bottom side is a beautiful abstract. On the top there is a rather different image. I prefer the bottom side. Regards Marco Link to comment
bettiecl 0 Posted January 8, 2012 Much appreciated comment! If, however, the intention of the image is to express the anachronism of Now and Yesterday: Today' time (fishing couple) and ancient History (salt pans) one has to connect the two. Obviously my image doesn't express the idea convincingly though. Some pointers perhaps? Link to comment
overdiep 0 Posted January 8, 2012 I didn't see the connection you mentioned. I regarded the photo only on the image as such and not on the meaning. Link to comment
bettiecl 0 Posted January 8, 2012 can one ever regard a photo "only as such" devoid of its intention/meaning? Remember, we're in the 21'st century.... way removed from mid-20th century when 'only as such' , i.e. abstract design was the vogue. Meaning, idea, concept is now paramount in current art (including photography) theory/appreciation... Link to comment
