rick, really a wonderfully creative composition here, also very nice lighting.  the diagonal dark corners works really well also.  the more i look at this image the better it becomes.  it's a lovely composition and if it is all thought out you are a master.  am thinking there is probably a bit of luck involved here also.  regardless whatever the mixture to create this image its a real barn burner. lovely work!

I like being able to see the hairs on the petals. It is an interesting composition but I find it a little busy. My eye kind of wanders all over the image trying to find a place to land for resolution. What do you think about it if you cropped most of the left vertical side off about 1/3 in?
