JPPhoto1664880217 5 Posted January 4, 2012 Very nice. I particularly like the lines. This is much more formal than your usual work. Jim Phelps Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 4, 2012 Hopefully not too formal. I was hoping 'playful' was the order of the day. Thanks for the look and comment. Link to comment
niki3 3 Posted January 4, 2012 there's something really original in this shot.... maybe the lines! very nice work Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 4, 2012 I like the lines. You like the lines and Jim likes the lines. I am going to guess that the lines are good. Thanks a lot! Link to comment
garethleyland 0 Posted January 4, 2012 I like the lines too. Not too sure about the top of her head though.Kind regardsGareth. Link to comment

davidmccracken 2 Posted January 5, 2012 Gareth, I wonder what it is you don't like about the head. Do let me know. Thanks for taking the time.Mike, I am glad you like this. Thanks.Michael, The jeans are nice but I prefer other aspects of this photograph. Thanks a lot. Link to comment
amichaelbrown 0 Posted January 5, 2012 Hi David, the 'I like the jeans' comment was a poor attempt at humour after the reading the 'I like the lines...' comments.Still really like this shot! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 5, 2012 Don't worry! I did get the humour. That said, there are people on here who probably like the jeans more than the model. Thanks again! Link to comment
garethleyland 0 Posted January 5, 2012 DavidI didn't say I didn't like it just not sure about it. I find the top of her head slightly distracting, maybe better if her head wasn't tipped back so far.More of an opinion than critique.RegardsGareth. Link to comment
frankhendriks 0 Posted January 5, 2012 Wonderful pose, great contrast and tones! Wonderfyl symmetry! Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 6, 2012 Gareth, Opinions are appreciated Gareth. I hope you will continue to give them. Thanks again.Frank, Kind words. I only hope I deserve them. Thanks a lot. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 13, 2012 I think what Gareth might be suggesting about the head is that the angle makes her forehead look overly large. I'm sure her hairline has something to do with that as well...that and the fact that we can't see even the tip of her nose. I don't know...just guessing. Maybe if she had tilted her head back further? Or not tilted it back so much? I can't decide. It's still lovely work, though. And it's very good separation of the blacks which allows us to see the ribbon or band on her pony tail. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted January 14, 2012 Maurizio, Thanks. Nice to know you stopped by.Jim, Gareth and you may have a point. Believe it or not I have this image on a fridge magnet. I gave such a fridge magnet to my friend. When I visited him recently I noticed he had taken black insulating tape and pasted along the top of the image. Opinions do differ. That said, I like this myself even with the forehead. Thanks a lot. Link to comment
