A shot taken yesterday while visiting Squamish and Whistler. This

image was processed in Lightroom 2, and then converted to B&W in

Silver Efex Pro. I want to grow as a photographer so let me know what

you think, good or bad.

Hello Paul,

I have some doubts about this one.  For me there is no real topic, or point of interest.  I wonder why you put it in BW.

Hi Ben.  Thanks for your comments.  You are justified in saying what you did as this was one of those shots that that did not have a very interesting subject (a mountain top).  Yet, for me it was not about the subject so much as it was about the esthetic created in the contrast between the black and white area.  I was just playing with the idea of notan here, and merely trying to get a balanced composition that conveyed the coming of winter in our area.  I appreciate your insights, though, and maybe I should have been more definite about what I was trying to do, and then ask people what they thought about my execution.  It is all good! Take care, and thanks for taking the time to comment on this one.

Paul
