Not your ordinary portrait I know. However, the model was reticent of

being photographed this particular day; I believed I could capture his

character and maintain some of his ambiguity though. Do you have any

opinions you would like to share? Thank you for your time.

I wonder if you could have retained that ambiguity but perhaps have a more interesting photograph if the face rather than the hand had been in focus.  Or is the OOF face necessary to complete the sense of ambiguity?  I'm not sure, but I'm guessing that an in-focus face, mostly hidden, with an OOF hand, might have been more visually inviting.  I'd love to have the opportunity to compare the two points of focus side-by-side.
