I am never bored watching these flying jewels! Can hardly wait to see them again on my feeders! But all my photos are blurred, never managed to get their wings so sharp as here. This is a beauty.

Thanks Kim! I've been shooting these guys since 2008 and I am still learning how to shoot them. The last lesson (which I did right all along without knowing) is to shoot them with Aparture Priority. We need DOF since it's a close-up shot (with long lenses) and it's important to control the f-stop. The SS is not that important as long as it's at least 1/640 or higher. Of couse, your milleage may varies! :-)
