chris_venhaus 49 Posted December 28, 2011 Taken with my 5D mkII at 17mm and stitched. This is my first attempt at a stitched comp (4 horizontal frames), and I'm fairly happy with it. The sky looked like it was going to go "over the top" with the reds- but this was the peak. Link to comment
jpk 7 Posted December 28, 2011 Excellent.May I ask you what software did you use to stitch these 4 frames?Regards. Link to comment
alfbailey 1 Posted December 29, 2011 Yeah, I'd be more than happy with the result too! This is a beauty in every sense. I don't think the colours are too saturated either, the whole thing looks authentic and very aesthetically pleasing. Top Marks from me.Best RegardsAlf Link to comment

papasan 0 Posted December 29, 2011 Beautiful and surreal image Chris. Interestingly i never thought of stitching horizontal images to make a vertical pano (i did the opposite but never this way). Lovely colors and mood and excellent exposure. Great work. Regards - michel Link to comment

Karl Schuler 48 Posted December 29, 2011 The dramatic mood underlines the bizarre landscape. Inspiring technique with a convincing result. Karl Link to comment
petershans 0 Posted December 29, 2011 A beautiful piture of a beautiful landscape. I think I would personally crop the darkest part at the bottom to move the horizon away from the center.regards, Hans Link to comment

johnolsen 0 Posted January 4, 2012 Great Image!. I love the detail you captured, the color of the sky, the reflections on the water - and most of the composition. It is a very centered image. The main formation is in the left to right center and approximately the top to bottom center as well. The horizon is centered. . I looked at this many times and was drawn back to it for all the normal reasons but also because my eye just kept going back to the center. I think I would have cropped the bottom a little and maybe the formation on the right. This would have been a standard composition, but I think what you have done works better. Unconventional but very effective to me. Nice job on all aspects of this image. Link to comment
