Veteran's Cemetery, Crèche Under a Christmas Tree

I had been out to the Veteran’s Cemetery for the laying of the

wreaths last weekend. 31,000 wreaths were place on the

headstones. I drove back yesterday to do some photographs of the

wreaths hoping to get something that would suggest such a large

number and to do some closeups. Beside one of the grave markers

was a decorated Christmas tree with this crèche underneath. It

doesn’t relate much to what I had intended to photograph but I

thought it was such an unusual location that I couldn’t resist a photo.

Fortunately I had my Samsung point and shoot because I can no

longer get this low to the ground—oh, I probably could but then I

might want to get up.
