pcnilssen 2 Posted December 20, 2011 Entering a new phase in my dance photos - instead of trying to achieve the utmost sharpness, I'd like to explore the movement and long shutter times. What do you think about this one? Link to comment

katie_clarke1 0 Posted December 21, 2011 Very nice motion. I like the diagonal lines. Color is very good. I sometimes will even zoom out or in with a 1 second exposure although I'm not confident with that yet. K.C. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 25, 2011 I think this works beautifully. It's a really nice experiment and there is so much potential in it. Here, you've achieved a great sense of movement of the dancers and caught lovely body positions of each of them, which enhance the sense of movement. The swirls of pink and red in their costumes are very effective. I like the way the background becomes rendered as well and even the light reflections on the floor have depth to them. Very nice! When I compare this photo to THIS ONE, I don't like what happened to the face in the latter one. It's become distorted in a more surreal way, appropriate in some styles and applications, but I'm not sure it's the feeling you were going for in this dance photo. Aside from my feelings about the face, I like that one a lot as well. The way the faces turned out in the present photo, on this page, relative to their body movements, works very nicely for me.--Fred Link to comment
