photographypanoptikon 0 Posted December 24, 2011 I took this shot with my old Canon EOS 3000 SLR using Ektachrome E100 VS slide film. It is a shot of one of the many underground passages that connect a network of monolithic churches (i.e. each church was not built, but rather cut from single, gigantic, underground boulders) in Lalibella, Ethiopia. The ancient (11th or 12th Century I believe) churches and the virtual underground city encompassing them are utterly remarkable and often referred to as the 8th wonder of the world. I felt that this picture captured a bit of the mystique of the site with the bright sunlight beckoning in the background. I'd love some feedback on this one. Link to comment
