Paul, I like this photo very much. The bird (swan?) is dancing in the air: light and fragile. In my view it is important for the compostion the presents of the other swan on the background. Regards Marco 

Thank you Marco. The bird is an egret and the one in the background is a pelican. I spotted the egret the morning before sitting on an old piling. I totally blew the shot. I went back the next morning  hoping it was there and I was ready this time. I pre-focused through the plants. The pelican in the background was just the cherry on top. I hope to return to California's Salton Sea soon.

This is really a wonderful photo! Everything is here, and blurred branches in front even covinced me that I am looking at live scene. Thank you!
