Ramon. stp 6 Posted December 13, 2011 This is really an attractive and effective composition, with the singular poppy in the foreground in sharp focus, along with a few grass heads, while the larger background provides a nice backdrop and a hint of more of the same. It's good that the poppy extends up into the dark portion of the background to help set it off. Link to comment
Salut Stephen, many thanks for your visit and also for your acurate analysis, and also your good opinion.Sidsel, also I appreciated your comment and your visit. Thanks to all. Link to comment
lasso1 0 Posted December 14, 2011 Hola Camilo. Link to comment
davidspeight 0 Posted December 14, 2011 Excellent Camilo, I remember you posting some similar shots quite a while back but with warmer light. This is just as effective with the background blurred poppys and the barley heads coming in and out of focus. I'm looking forward to having a go at this in the spring using a new 200mm lens and 2x converter. Link to comment
marc_dilley1 0 Posted December 14, 2011 You really had a sensitive eye, Amapolas, to frame the oof poppy with the three seed heads. The orange and gray-green are unusual and just beautiful. Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted January 23, 2012 Well composed shot; DOF works really well here, as well as having only two main colors (red and green). I like the subdued hues of the grass, which makes for a very artistic shot. Nice work! Link to comment
