Watermelon Slim a well know Blues singer and activist paints too. The

I like the colors and the pose here.

This might be just another photo of a happy guy which might not provide any more than the obvious sympathetic communication, but what I find interesting here is the nature of the whole composition, including the singer's personal world, his old 45 record turntable, event posters, t-shirts and his (?) artwork on the mirror, the mirror also being a metaphor of reflection or a symbol of his environment.

Too bad we probably live/operate far apart. It would be a pleasure to collaborate on a common photo project, especially as I have still a lot to learn about people photography (and/or break down my personal taboos/hangups about photographing others). Fine photo.
