Shanquil and Fish

This tells such a complete story.  The fact that you caught the woman looking down at the fish (carp?), with the little girl simply taking in all of these new experiences of her young life with that look of passive attentiveness -- it's an exceptional photograph.

Thanks Stephen. The fish is actually a buffalo. I am told that that has always been the eating fish of choice from the Mississippi, not the catfish. This young lady referred to it as a "baby". Her little sisters eyes are amazing.

State of grace, and with that bright glint in the eye the kid is borderline surreal. Nice catch here,  metaphorically as well.
