Mr Happy Feet

I'm trying to connect the title to the photograph, and I can only conclude that you know something about this person that I don't, and it doesn't come through in the photo either.  To some folks that seems to matter, while to others it matters not a bit.  The light in the window is intriguing, and I'd guess this is a commercial establishment.  Good light on the face; some may want to see more detail on the shadow side, but I don't have a strong feeling one way or the other.  You've caught a very relaxed and natural look on his face, and from my point of view that's not an easy task.  It's that attribute that makes this my favorite kind of portrait photography.

I think naming images is an art form as well. I often struggle with naming a photo for quite some time.  I believe the name should only have something to do with how I as the artist feels about it. It should just make others wonder what I am thinking...sort of a poem. I feel as though I have not finished an image if I leave it untitled and its not cleaver. I have a tendancy to name landscapes with whatever I feel about the image at a given moment... "Monumental Moment", Alvord Wave", "Spirit Flow". I have more difficulty naming portraits. Since switching form 4x5 to digital I now have lots more images to name so its much more of a challenge. Actually "Happy Feet" was his nickname. He would get fairly well juiced and dance, although I didn't experience it that night. "Happy Feet" was perfect and really saw no reason to mess with that gift.

I did play a bit with showing more detail on the left side of his face, but ended up where you now see it. Thanks for the comments Stephen.
