frigo 4,155 Posted January 17, 2012 Thank you for the comment.This house and many in this small island/fishing community and this area in general are abondoned when its occupants,generally second generations, get older with no takers from the next generation who have to leave for lack of local employment.Another factor which precipitates the demise is the high cost of upkeep,mainly energy,even the woodburning kind,for the hard,cold and long winter period for these dwellings which were minimally insulated.Plus other reasons you can well imagine.And thank you for the interest.Meilleures salutations-Laurent Link to comment
