Near the Zumelle castle I took this shot of a mule in this autumnal

frame

Great colour diversity, is one of the most beautiful characteristics of the autumn, and you really manage to capture it on this photo. All the ambient seems to been taken from a fable illustration, the mule almost looks like a mythological creature.

The frame has a nice rich feel to it, with the varied feelings. Kind of dreamlike too... I can almost imagine the mule being a Unicorn!

nice colours, if the donkey could have been a little further right and not partially obscured by the leaves, that woudl have improved to composition.

While I agree with Jason about the out-of-focus foreground leaves detracting from the pictorial quality of this photograph, I do like the sense it gives me of sneaking up to the mule, and the feeling of tension as the shutter button is pressed, rendering this fleeting image on film. It certainly has a beautiful, picturebook quality. What an excellent depiction of the lowly mule. :-)

You both have right,but the photo was taken really far away with the 300mm. standing,the light was very low and I had to work with the 45 speed,and the mule after this shot moved!Really short time I had to think about the final result.

Looks like a painting to me Guido. The ratings appear low in my opinion. A little more sharpnes and this one gets 7. I may even change my mind and do that later. Very well captured!!....(I did change my mind)!!
