Lovely composition.  For me crucial elements are the man in the left corner, and the lines leading the eye.   Just one suggestion to try: I find the dark sky maybe a bit unnatural.  Making the sky a stop lighter might be something to try.

Beautiful lines and composition. I love many things about this photo: The sharp details, (I can even see every cobblestone), all the people engaged in various activites or peacefully observing, the buildings in the background, and especially the sky. It's perfect.

I too like Jeff's comment:-)  & I like your take on this, Andrea. The wide angle was a great choice here; I very much like the way it provides an interesting perspective, with the curve of the columns on the L & the sweeping view of the square & buildings beyond. Your composition is perfect & I particularly like your framing of the character on the far LHS (who's looking into the square), it allows the eye to further follow the man's gaze into the photo... Andrea, I like the broad expanse of space in this with the sweeping lines and the wonderful light. I also like the perspective of the man on the left looking into the scene. The people on the plaza almost look as if they are skaters gliding across ice.
