Her left cheek and shoulder and lower left arm blend into the background. The composition has a scrunched feel---a face sliding off the edge of her bodice top, a body dropped into a tight box. I rated this a 5 only because it shows you are taking risks to add to your visual vocabulary.

I am uploading an adjustment that restores some separation but my initial comments have not changed because of the adjustment.

I don't necessarily agree with John Webster on this. Usually it bothers me if details are "washed out" and disappear into the background, but here it seems to work very well. There are two things that come out in the photo - her face, and those parts of her body that are covered with the see-through material (I guess you could say that sometimes things have to be covered up in order to expose them :-)). And the fact that the photo is "scrunched up" on the left side also fits quite well with the seemingly shy way in which she is looking down at the floor - it is almost as if she is trying to hide. All in all a very effective and very human photo. Well done!!!

I have to go along with Otto, Niki. On my monitor there is very subtle tonality visible in Arianna's shoulder, just enough I feel. The choice of B&W is terrific. I also like the unusual, but effective, composition.

John Pery ha pienamente ragione. Sulla questione delle parti "bruciate"(?) penso che la risposta sia molto soggettiva:a me intriga molto la versione originale con la testa quasi "staccata" dal corpo.
