Wonderful scene to see and well captured.  Definite sense of space, wide open space, and the cold comes across extremely well.  Not a place I'd like to be stuck with nobody around for miles and miles.

Good title!  The eye is drawn through this cold and barren landscape, giving a real sense of what it must have felt like being there, one can almost feel the cold.
