Breathtaking image! The simplicity of the scene is spellbinding. And by not placing the tree centrally you have added interest to the shot. However, when composing the shot I think it would have slightly improved the image if you were to include all of the tree and used a wider crop.

Not a pleasant scene is it, cold. bleak and the harsh reallity of what is coming upon us,  brrrrr.  Thanks for your recent comment and suggestion. I very much like this composition.  The uncluttered frame allows the viewer to appreciate the beauty of the curved tree limbs.
