this is one of my all-time favorite Chuck Turner photos and i'm finding it hard to put my finger on just "why"...but whatever, it works damn well!  glad you chose to do it in b&w.

I almost didn't go out there today, but I'm glad I did, got some cool shots. This is a B&W HDR by the way.

Well, there's at least two of us that glad you went! ;)  Glad you told me it's HDR. I think that subconsciously I may have been sensing the difference the HDR brings to the shot. I'm sure you've seen plenty of garrish HDR shots (especially color), but those where the technique is utilized well, can produce some incredible pictures.  Almost every HDR photo I've seen that I like was in b&w. I've never experimented with HDR, but your work has me thinking it's time I give it a try.
