Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 1, 2011 This one is lovely, too. There's still a feeling of grace and nobility in this old girl even as she sits abandoned in the weeds. Link to comment
Alex_Es 388 Posted December 2, 2011 An image with feeling. There seems to be energy coming from this old Packard (one of the last). Amazing the the chrome seems okay though the hood is rusted. This baby can be restored. My dad had a Packard like this one back in the 1950s. It was not one of the great ones but it is well worth restoring. Link to comment
jgalyon 0 Posted December 5, 2011 Jack, if i had a spare $1300 i'd buy the old girl, park her in my yard, and what time i wasn't gazing out the window at her...i'd go sit behind the steering wheel...take in that wonderful, musty old scent...and make up stories about where we might have been. jgalyon 0 Posted December 5, 2011 As I was relating to Jack, the last time I drove by she was still for sale! I recall finding an old Packard hub cap in a barn on the farm that i grew up on, and though i can't recall if he said it belonged to his Packard, or not...but he told me he once owned a Packard, and if i'm not mistaken (and I could be...), I'm thinking he said it was a '50 model. would you happend to know what year model this one might be?
