FLUJICOLOR C200 Film Versus Digital Nikon D700

Film Grain/noise/resolution versus Digital Noise/resolution. Film ASA

200 -Nikon 8008 on monopod versus D700 ISO 400 on monopod using

the same 50mm/1.8 Nikkor lens. The fuji film was scanned on a Epson

V700. The composite is of a tight crops of a "tiny" area of much larger

images -same photo shot on overcast day but unfortunatly not shot on

the same day or time of day - not the exact same exact lighting.

Yes the film, ISO 200, is on the left. Are you surprised because one looks better than you expected or worse than expected?

Tentative conclution is that  35mm digital beats 35mm film in resolution and noise versus grain/noise. See other image composite: Medium Format Film and 35mm Digital resolution are close but digital noise beats medium format film grain/noise.
