Spring in the Smokies..

I'm a big fan of the XPAN format.

The softness of the water and the crispness of fore as well as background makes this very nice. The small tree/bush with white blossoms (cherry blossoms?) stands out well. All in all, excellent.

 

Now for the 4. The dimentions and subject reminds me of the 4 seasons oriental paintings you see around. You got spring pegged, how about the other 3. Think you'd want to try something like that.

The composition of vertical landscape is a favorite of mine. I like the way my eye travels from the water to the white tree in the midground.

I've spent a lot of Springs in the Smokies, and this is a nice photo.

Excellent photo, the two rocks leading the eye to the blossoming tree. I can feel the breath of Spring comming from this shot.

John, again a great shot. Love the rock in the foreground, and how the light has caughts that one branch in the centre of frame, with the rest darker, but you saw this too that's why you took it!! Nice level of movement in the water, looks around 5-6 secs? I bet the chrome looks great.
