It was blue sky when I arrived at a wind turbine site, but a storm came in

from the west with some amazing clouds. I'm resubmitting this,

unfortunately after two comments were left and that are now gone -- my

apologies. Your comments and suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Those clouds are amazing, they almost look like the kind of artists impression of clouds in a story book, it just needs the face with the mouth making a blowing action. The sectional layers are a nice element too, and of course I don't think you could have timed it better to photograph wind turbines.

Sincere Compliments

The clouds are amazing and the wind turbines look dwarfed, although I know they are quite high.  Stunning shot.  Regards

Beautiful image. Turbines provide nice pattern and clouds provide the drama. Nice BW conversion.

Best wishes Stephen... Sandeep

I think this is a top image from the bottom up the different shades in the fields then the turbines and to top it this amazing sky.

Super work well done.

Rich.

Ps I agree with your suggestion about cropping my last.

Stephen,

These three B&W images (turbines and tower) convey an interesting theme about nature vs. technology - quite thought provoking.  The clouds and tonal contrast i the foreground are superb.   Larry

Stephen,

This is beautiful and dramatic!  From the perspective of technological ignorance or innocence, do the winds drive the turbines or did the turbines churn up the sky.  I think this is what makes this so interesting, of course the brain knows the answer but the 'eyes' ask the question.

Those are some amazing mammatus clouds. In addition the graphic nature of the fields and turbines makes for a ton of interest in this image.  I think the clouds could stand some added contrast that would really make them pop, as the brightest areas still are far from blown out.  This may add to the 3D effect that these types of clouds already have.  Fantastico!

I remember, once, long time,  it happened in Toronto, and  watching from my 16th floor apartment window. It is and it was surrealistic.

Great image. Cheers.

This photo was just selected to appear in the Hasselblad Bulletin along with other images from photographers around the world.

Very dramatic.  Those are some nasty looking mammatus.  Very surreal against the forest of wind turbines.

A couple of hours earlier this was all blue sky.  So much of landscape photography is being at the right place at the right time.
