Great colours! I think those peepers are kept on a banana leaf & water has been sprinkled on to keep the freshness which is very commonly seen in veg stalls. A shot straight from market! I liked it a lot. :-)

Kallol, you are absolutely right. It was early morning. The vegetable vendor just placed the basket for sale. I was ready to click a 'still-life' in busy market place on the road-side of Mumbai.

I wonder if the market owner was a photographer?  He arranged the vegetables so nicely for you!  ;-)  Beautiful colors and arrangement.  I might consider vignetting the top corners just a bit to reduce the highlights on the lettuce leaves, but it's still great as is.  Happy New Year to you, and I'll look forward to participating a bit more in 2012.
