After an hour of clear blue sky, a host of interesting clouds moved through

ahead of a storm. Your comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

I perceive this image as both representing power and energy. The wind movement as illustrated by the clouds represent a form of alternative energy and the wind turbines as human made source of power or electricity.

Nicely composed photograph, very powerful and meaningful especially in present times.

Best regards, Stephen

Lester

I like the ambiguity - are the clouds and the air moving the turbines, or maybe the turbines are mixing the clouds?  I looks more like the latter to me.  Very well done.

Excellent cloud series, Stephen.  This is my favorite, as it takes on an almost abstract look to it with the random cloud patterns.  I also love the 'Clouds about to be challenged' image.  The 2 images with the single tower are less successful IMO....more of an interesting exercise in composition.

Stephen, This is a very very nice Black and White,Personally I would like to have seen a slightly slower shutter speed (if the wind turbines were actually moving) To me this would make a wonderful play with the clouds, they look like the big fans have blown them into a whisp. The composition Works very well. The tonal Range is also Fantastic,

Great shot Cheers Richard

Wonderful cloud series today and the bw only adds to the imagery.  Clap, clap, clap and some applause on top of that. Best regards, rek.

Hi Stephen, this one I like the best of the 3 I've seen so far.  6 from me K.C.  Thanks for sharing, it has great eye appeal and nice tones.

Thanks very much for the comments.  I've been photographing wind turbines from all angles over the last several outings.  Richard, these turbines were barely moving -- no chance to get any motion blur in the blades.  I have done that in other photos, however.  It's somewhat of a delicate balance:  too much movement and the blades disappear; too little and they simply look out of focus.

I stumbled across this photo last week and meant to tell you how much I liked it, but didn’t get around to it. Nice ! Its surprises me that I don't find windmills to be an eyesore like a cell tower or a house built on a ridgeline. Even as they arise in my personal stomping grounds in eastern Washington I am comfortable with them on the horizon. Strange. To me they are more like train tracks gently following the contours of the land. Windmills dance with the wind.

I find these these windmills somewhat threatening, forbidding and a symbol of an uncertain future. This is the best image  I've seen that stirs these feelings.........Superb. Alfredo
