Dave, what I first noticed about this piece (while in thumbnail) was the converging angles of the banks that come together to (almost) make a left-pointing arrow of the water. The fog and the muted colors speak to this fall and winter season. My eye would  like to see just a tad more sky at the top of the  frame; it seems like it might open the scene up a little. It's a nice, calming photo that captures this season well.
