winter photos Along 4 Mile River

This is a photo taken on Thanksgiving day afternoon in northern

Minnesota while out taking a ride.

Because this is in the landscape forum, I assume the snow is real.  Yet it also seems to be very shallow, despite apparently snowing heavily right in front of the camera.  So I'm confused as to what I'm seeing, and any assumptions I make could be very wrong, thereby making my comments meaningless.  More background would be appreciated.

Paul,  This looks like a first snow fall to me.  As I live further south in Minnesota, I can wait for all the white stuff.  The blurry snow gives this image the appearance of a watercolor.  The inner glow works nicely, but IMHO I suggest that you crop the hard white border from the image.  It distracts from the softness you seem to want with the glow.  Nice image.
