While I agree with most of the critiques listed, I have to wonder how you came to want to use this combonation of props. For some reason I just can't get my head around the gauze like drapery flowing down the chair.  Also, even though I appreciate the props, maybe if you moved the candle holder further away from the fowl it would separate better from the similar tones. Or, do we need the bird in the photo at all? Try the image without the guaze and bird and see what that looks like.

Fantastic composition, light, colors and details. The dog's pose is great bonus here. Congrats for this presentation.
