John Peri 1,029 Posted November 24, 2011 Three tremendously expressive portraits posted one after the other, somewhere in between backstage and reality. I continue to like the grain that you are using, it somehow adds to the authenticity. Well, I'm switching back and forrh, I'm not at all sure which one I like the most. Excellent Mark, bravo truly .. gsphotoguy 3 Posted November 25, 2011 Janusz - Thank you, I spent some time arranging this.Pierre - Thanks!Niki - Thank you too.John - Thank you. When I uploaded the results from this mini-workshop I purposely saved those three for last so they would appear on my profile page. I'll be posting each for critique at some point soon. The grain is the result of scanning my film negatives. It is less apparent in silver gelatin optical prints but I do like the look.Jim - I have been using mirrors for a while in my nude work and thank you for commenting on this one. I do like the result of these. It is interesting how models react to them and the requirements of where to look that is different then they expect.Starvy - I appreciate you noticing that aspect to this work, thank you. I tend to work in very close to get this result. I always tell my models that if they are uncomfortable to tell me but they never do and usually like the result.-Mark Link to comment
