I could be wrong but I think that there is some potential with this image but

I haven't found it yet. I would like to hear if you see an approach that could

bring something more out of it. (I categorized as Documentary for no other

reason than it didn't seem to really fit a category). I appreciate your time.

Hello, I would say yes - this picture has potential, yet hidden. The line of circles is quite interesting, the radials created by the metallic rims (or whatever you call it - I mean the lines above and below the circles), too. And of course the reflexion of what appears to be male figure - not a woman (which suggests some story of a singe ageing man taking care of his own home affairs).

Technically speaking, the BW conversion is a good idea, but not as properly executed as it could be. The picture is flat from my perspective. I would also propose to add some more focus/light or contrast on the part with the reflexion.

I include what I have now quickly done as a "draft" attempt. It is hard to work with a picture already converted to BW and a noisy one too. I do not say I am happy with it, this is just to try something.

Regards

Mj

Michal,

Thanks very much for your input which sounds like a great idea. Thanks for your rework of the shot and your time as well. I like the direction it exemplifies and will implement your suggestions.

Very appreciative,

Peter

I am glad, Peter, if my couple of lines helped in some sense. I am sure you will find the right way to squeeze more out of this picture.

If my idea of the "story behind the picture" is correct, than I would suggest - try to be gently aggressive when processing it. Like a male doing the washing.

And differentiate between the parts of the picture to enhance the contrasts.

Best regards

Mj
