Another experiment... but I'm starting to get the hang of it.
24mm f2.8 lens, 9 panels stitched with Panavue software. 15 sec. exposure per panel, at apertures varying from f6.3 to f8 (to take account of failing lights as the pictures were taken and bright spots e.g. interior lit rooms). The white balance was set to "tungsten" to accentuate the "blue" of the darkness outside.
The idea here was to take a "night-time" shot at dusk. You need to wait until the indoors incandescent light is bright, but there is still enough light left to adequately expose the outdoor scene.
I'm gradually getting the technique under control. The D100 sure makes this a lot less painful. When I'm sure of what I'm doing, I'll take a REAL photograph of something INTERESTING.
Until then you'll have to put up with my funny old house, and its beautiful tree ferns.
P.S. I call ths pic "Possum Time" because the local marsupial possums come out about now. They drive the dogs crazy with their incessant (noisy) copulation.
