rekaras 0 Posted November 17, 2011 What a morning at Lake Michigan. High winds, huge clouds and very, very intermittent spots of sunlight. Practically had to run to catch the sun and hey that rhyme, when I spotted and interesting image. There was just a bit of sunlight behind the structure above as the winds wrestled with the dune grass in the foreground.. I wanted to captlure both elements before another massive cloud rolled in and blocked the sun. comments welcome Link to comment
stp 6 Posted November 18, 2011 I think the textures and light in the mid-ground grasses really carry this photograph. Personally, I usually don't like prominent OOF foreground elements, but I think this works quite well (it may be the variations in light and mix of gold/green that make it work for my eyes). Overall, it's an intriguing composition, and I like it very much -- great mix of elements. Link to comment
gardena 0 Posted November 18, 2011 As Stephen says, a great mix of elements organized so you are led on into the depths of the scene. The structure and sign on the way encourage exploration too. Link to comment
