Landscape 2

Technically, this is a very good photo (tonal quality, contrast, sharpness, etc.). I also like the grass in the foreground. In landscape 2 my attention is immediately drawn to the movement and contrasts in the sky. In the field, the balanced composition is calm and peaceful. The main contrast is between the field and the sky. This composition works fine and has a "still life" quality.

Personally, I prefer landscape 1 because - even though the contrast field/sky is less than in landscape2 - the "unbalanced" composition of the bales of hay creates more tension in the photo.
