The lower panel is the full frame photo 4256x3832 pixels taken with

NikonD700 hand held, Nikon 50/1.8 lens. Shutter/Aperature not

recorded. The upper panel is a tight crop around the buildings and

vehicles and viewed on the monitor at "actual pixel" size. I'm amazed!

The compression of the vehicles in the croped image? An artifact of

resize in photoshop maybe? This digital photography seem to be like

making a contact print from a hugh negative.

Meir,   This is an interesting point of view from Masada.  Israel is most difficult to photograph because of all the monochromatic stone and desert and bright washed out light.  You have done a nice job of capturing some detail in midday, especially in the bottom wide angle.

You are absolutly correct and most difficult in B&W. Places are nearly a one-zone scene. 

Pertaining to the resolution seen in the upper panel I wonder how much better it might have been had I been shooting from tripod. Thank you for commenting.
