A Spot of Light

Hi Holger,

A very nice capture using the Canon Powershot G9.

The color tones present are pleasant.

I saw the ripple at the top of your image and the "spot"of light , and I felt that I could emphasize these a bit more in processing the levels. Here is an example.

I tried several different looks with this image and had one with similar levels but I thought might look a little harsh so I settled for the one posted. I like the orginal as it seems to me to retain a minimilistic quality that first attracted me to the image. I also like the diagonal composition and gentle shading.  Very well observed and captured Holger!

Holger, I also think your original works better.  The way the horizontal ripples of water change and shift throughout the image and the softness of the light on them is what makes the image for me. Also the way the light radiates outward is nice. 

I love it just the way it is. Simple, elegant very well composed and the color tones fits perfectly into the story.
