The caption is 'Lines' but it might as well have been 'Anticipation'.

Nice and captivating street capture! I would only increase contrast a bit, since I can't see a real black but only grey tones. I like the composition a lot, with the three workmen just in the right position in the opening of the gate, with a nice background. All the best!

I'm glad this one 'hit the spot'.

It certainly did for me!

I saw it coming and pre-positioned myself, waiting for the precise moment - perfect anticipation.

As to increasing the contrast, perhaps, but there is/are one or two black tones, one in the buy's hat, middle which sets the black mark and another in a post, behind the fence -- you might try looking at a histogram, unless mine lied, or I changed the capture after viewing my histogram.  I often am guided by histograms now, as opposed to much earlier (even more recently truth be told, when I'd 'eyeball it'.)

Now I'm a little more 'scientific', but I find my 'eyeball' seldom is wrong with so much experience now.

I'm thankful for your helpful critique.

Very thankful.

Thanks!

With warmest and fondest regards.

Oh, I have information for you that relates to a question you and a dear one posed to me.

I'll try to pass it on by other means.

There are no blacks cause there are no blacks. Contrast looks okay on my monitor for the low contrast scene that it is. Now if John shot this at high noon on a sunny day then you'd see contrast big time. Solid blacks and solid whites and not much in between. Thank god john did not do this else I would have thrown the towel in for him (smile).

Thank you so much.

One of my best seen works of my career.

I saw it coming and placed myself accordingly, then briefly (very briefly) waited.

It was over in a flash, as I had to rush to the place where I 'waited'.

Thanks again.  I'm not sure if anyone else really 'got' this.
