3m 0 Posted November 19, 2011 I very much like your ( original) vision of this, Bulent, as well as the colors and the textures working together so subtly and nicely here. The square format composition is perfect, imo. The only thing which doesn't seem to come through though for me, is the mood -- as the light (particularly in the sky beyond) seems a bit flat and grey, lacking depth... (= possibly re-enforced by slight vignetting..?) Although this could also be the effect you were seeking, of course... Best, Marjolein Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted December 26, 2011 I'm always fascinated by the delicacy you achieve in your image, as soft as the wings of a butterfly. I do think Marjolein's commets about the flatness of the sky are accurate but otherwise the picture is as light as a watercolor Link to comment
celasun 0 Posted December 26, 2011 Thank you all for visiting and commenting.I am sorry that I have not been active enough lately to show my appreciation in a more timely fashion. The excuses are (perhaps, fortunately) the usual ones: Too much work, too little time etc..This was a rather cold and damp Sunday. I was just craving to go outside with one of my long-neglected cameras and a big lens. The scene was so inviting for some reason and I had spent quite some time walking around, using a light meter, a rather hefty tripod and a cable release (getting wet as well)... The flatness and greyness, as Marjolein has spotted, were there and were a bit more prominent. I confess, I had even tried to infuse some "life" into the image during processing. In the end, I returned home cold and tired but happier and satisfied! Perhaps, the image was more an intermediary than a result... Link to comment
